A New "DO"

That's a lot of hair!
After more than four years of letting Natalie's beautiful dark blonde hair grow out, the time had come to make a change---a BIG change! We had decided to donate her mane to Locks of Love and needed just ten inches of hair to do so; Natalie gave 14 inches! It brings joy to my heart to know that a child somewhere will be able to use Natalie's hair and will hopefully gain some self esteem from it.
I mean, really...look at her hair! Her hair was almost always in a pony tail, so it was sometimes hard to get a grip on just how long her hair really was.

She got one last wash of the long hair...

Of course, we never do anything in our family without documenting it -- and often times putting it on TV. :)
Auntie Tricia trimmed up the ends (and we set aside the little curls for Natalie's baby book).
...and then....SNIP!!!
After some more cutting, Auntie Tricia had created a cute little hairstyle for Natalie.
...a side view...

This is how it looks today. I LOVE it! I can do so many more things with Natalie's hair, and she looks as cute as a button; but was there ever any doubt??!!
Here is the video my niece, Kaitlyn, shot of Natalie's haircut. She did a great job, but didn't realize the camera couldn't be turned sideways while shooting video...so you'll have to crank your head sideways at times! :)
